Getting, building, and installing qmail

  1. Get qmail (http://koobera.math.uic.edu/qmail.html)
  2. Set up qmail users
  3. Build and install qmail
  4. A special consideration for RedHat is that qmail for security reasons does not deliver to home directories that are group writable. RedHat systems use user-groups extensively, i.e. each user is the sole member of a group with the user's name. You can change this, or change conf-patrn to "002" before building qmail.
  5. Init file for qmail/linux
  6. My init file for qmail on RedHat Linux
  7. Startup links for qmail on RedHat
  8. Protential problems
  9. Qmail Additions
