VMmailer
VMmailer is not yet available. It is written by Wietse Vemema, one of
the most well-known internet security experts. VMmailer is likely to
address the same deficiencies in sendmail as addressed by qmail. Given
the programmers involved, VMmailer is likely to be more
sendmail-compatible than qmail. Whether this is an advantage or not
depends on the trade-offs involved.
Reportedly, VMmailer will be more efficient than qmail by using only a
single file per message. How much of a difference this makes and what
trade-off against reliability this involves remains to be seen.
